Rob Go is a Senior Associate at Spark Capital. Rob brings to Spark a wealth of consumer-focused experience and expertise. His ability to identify latent customer needs and devise game-changing solutions brought him great success in his career before Spark. This, combined with his empathy for entrepreneurs, makes him a true asset to Spark and our portfolio companies. Like so many of us, Rob is driven by the heroic nature of entrepreneurs, and believes that one idea, when passionately and intelligently pursued, can change the world.
Prior to joining Spark Capital, Rob was an executive at eBay, where he was the product marketing lead for “Finding.” In this role, he launched over 20 products that significantly enhanced eBay’s search, browse, and merchandising capabilities.
Previously, Rob was a consultant with The Parthenon Group, a boutique strategic advisory. He was a member of the firm’s Private Equity Practice, where he focused on the consumer and retail industries.
Rob has also held roles at Fidelity Investments and BzzAgent, an early-stage word-of-mouth marketing company. He also helped to found Letslink.jp, one of the first social networks focused on the Japanese market.
Rob earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in economics, magna cum laude, from Duke University.
Rob Go is originally from the Philippines and spent most of his childhood in Hong Kong.
