Alex specializes in transformational companies in the enterprise software, infrastructure and cybersecurity spaces. He is based out of the San Francisco office.

Previously, Alex spent three years at Redpoint Ventures where he focused on growth-stage investments. He sourced or was actively involved in the firms investments in Duo Security, JustWorks, RelateIQ (, Infer, Lifesize and Sourcegraph.

Prior to joining Redpoint, Alex was in the TMT investment-banking division of Goldman Sachs, where he focused on software, Internet, and semiconductor companies. He advised clients on mergers and acquisitions, equity financings, and LBO transactions. At Goldman, Alex worked with Intuit, Yelp, Marin Software, Gigamon, SanDisk, and others.

Alex earned a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University. Prior to Stanford, Alex played as an amateur on the ATP World Tour, competing in the U.S. Open and many other ATP events. He was also a hitting partner for the U.S. Davis Cup Team. At Stanford, Alex was a 3-time captain and played #1 singles and doubles and was ranked as high as #2 in the nation.
